school-age sacraments
- Resources and Faith Formation

General Changes/Additions
While our classes are listed as 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., we really ask that you try to get there a few minutes earlier - as we try to let people out to attend the 11:00 a.m. Mass. It leaves us very pressed for class time if people arrive late!

Parents
we invite you...
During the year you will be invited to join your student in various
class activities. Your attendance is important and we encourage your participation.
Volunteers are an integral and important part of our program.
Our teachers are all volunteers. Volunteers also serve as classroom aides,
hall monitors, organizers and helpers for special events, and on various
committees.
We invite you to share with us some of your time and talents.
To volunteer, please call the Religious Education office. As we journey
together, we ask you to pray for us as we pray for you.
Sincerely,
Karen Yasik
OUR MISSION
In order to be witnesses
of the message of Christ in our parish community, we, the staff and volunteers
of St. Mary Magdalen Religious Education Office, work together to provide
a program of religious formation.
We give support to parents and their children by offering weekly
classes in each grade level for young people who attend public school
or other non-Catholic schools.
Instruction time is supplemented with class Masses, penance
celebrations, multimedia materials, and guest speakers. We believe that
offering a variety of learning methods and experiences will enable our
students to hear the Good News, experience it in their lives, and translate
it into action.
At St. Mary Magdalen, we believe that God calls us all to know Him,
to love Him and to serve Him in many ways.
We believe that a deeper knowledge and love for God and for our fellow
man should be an on-going process throughout life.
We believe that every age, every stage of life offers unique opportunities
and a unique perspective in faith development.
To this end, we offer our parishioners, both young and mature,
the following programs and encourage their participation as a part of
their continuing Christian development.
