Have your child experience the Word of God through child-friendly language and song. Parents are welcome to join their children for this time of worship.
Children's Liturgy of the Word
Our parish family is so blessed with many young families, and we are thrilled to restart our tradition of Children's Liturgy of the Word. During the 8:30am Mass, our children will be invited to come down to the Church Hall for singing, prayer, and hearing God's Word. They will rejoin their families in church before Holy Communion. We start in September, take a break for Easter, the 1st Communion weekends, and break for summer.
Dates we will gather in 2025:
Volunteer Opportunities
We rely on volunteers, having a team of parents who alternate Sundays to deliver this children's ministry. We are always looking for new adult leaders & children volunteersto add to our team. Our goal is to have sufficient leaders, so each takes one Sunday only 3 or 4 times a year.
Volunteer roles available:
Set Up (8-8:30am, set up 20 chairs and materials prior to people coming down)
Adult Leaders (oversee the children's liturgy for a specific Sunday, could lector)
Student Readers (1st grade and above; varied lengths for many levels of reading)
Musicians & Singers (students or adults)
Adult Reflection Leaders (share a reflection about the Gospel)
Clean Up (after 8:30am mass, put chairs and materials back)
