All classes are in the school,  enter through the doors by the gym (main entrance) and there will be signs posted on where your class is being held. There is one class on Sunday morning.  There is one class on Tuesday at 3-4:25PM (filled).  There are two classes on Wednesday.  One will be taught at 3-4:25PM (filled) and one at 3:30-4:55PM. 

We receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in the sacrament of Confirmation, offered to parish youth in 9th grade.  

Parent Primary Gathering. 11/17/24 AT 11:15AM IN THE CHURCH HALL: At this gathering information will be given about how to choose a sponsor; registration; and final information about the program itself. WHILE REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED UNTIL FEBRUARY, I DO NEED TO KNOW YOUR CHOICE OF CLASS TIME!! DETAILED HANDOUT.   

    Opportunities for service will be posted on the parish website HOME PAGE and I will send emails with opportunities that are early or last minute!

    PARENTS - WE NEED YOU! During COVID many of our previous Confirmation catechists retired, and in order to run classes of a reasonable size we need people who are willing to facilitate discussion in the classrooms!  The classes involve videos and then discussion of the material.  Please contact Karen Yasik if you are interested and willing to help your child and their classmates through this preparation for the sacrament!  Volunteers have the preparation fee waived.

Sponsor Meeting:  There will be an Virtual information gathering held for all sponsors on February 23, 2025 at 1PM..  Please be sure to let your sponsor (or a parent if sponsor unavailable) know.  Info about the meeting will be emailed to all sponsors in advance - as long as I have their information!

Choice of Class time - due January 6, 2025 -   CLASSES WILL BE LIMITED TO 16 STUDENTS, when a class is filled I will take that time out.  Currently Tuesdays at 3PM is the only one filled, Wednesday 3PM only has 2 spots open as of 1/12/25, so I am taking it off the list - if you email me it will be first come first served for the last two spots.  Sunday morning and Wednesday 3:30PM  classes are open

3. Online Sponsor Contact Information Form - due 2/02/25
4. Sponsor Eligibility Form (If your sponsor is not from SMM - print out this form, give it to your sponsor for their church to fill out & returned it to SMM.) DUE 9/2

1. Attend 6 classes PLEASE SEE LIST IN THE BOX TO THE RIGHT!!!   Please understand that Confirmation classes are cumulative and discussion based; it is of utmost importance that your child attends class.  If your child fails to abide by the attendance policy, he/she may become ineligible to receive the sacrament of Confirmation with his/her class.  By providing you with these dates well in advance, it should enable you to work around your family schedule!

4. Attend 1 Confirmation Retreat (dates & sign ups TBA in box below - AS PART OF THE RETREAT, PARENTS MUST WRITE A LETTER TO THEIR CHILD AND THEIR HOPES FOR THE CHILD'S FAITH GOING FORWARD.
    

Each student must attend 1 retreat.  Click on the link below & sign up for your date choice. 

• The Confirmation Retreat begins at 9:00AM and ends at 2PM.

• Parent or sponsor must arrive at 1:30PM for prayer service and pick up.

• Lunch will be provided.  Teens should please be sure to bring something to write with, their own water bottle, and come prepared to participate.

• At least one parent is to write a letter (details will be provided after the close of registrations) and submit the letter to the parish office 2 weeks prior to the retreat date.
