In order to be witnesses of the message of Christ in our parish community, we, the staff and volunteers of St. Mary Magdalen's Religious Education Office, work together to provide a program of religious formation for students of all ages. We give support to parents and their children by offering weekly classes in each grade level for young people who attend public school or other non-Catholic schools. Instruction time is supplemented with field trips and guest speakers, and we offer seven "family days" throughout the year where the whole family can learn more about their faith. We believe that offering a variety of learning methods and experiences will enable our students to hear the Good News, experience it in their lives, and translate it into action.
During the year you will be invited to join your student in various class activities. Your attendance is important and we encourage your participation.
Volunteers are an integral and important part of our program. Our teachers are all volunteers. Volunteers also serve as classroom aides, hall monitors, organizers and helpers for special events, and on various committees. In addition, your first year volunteering your tuition is half price; the second year it's free!
We invite you to share with us some of your time and talents. To volunteer, please call the Religious Education office. As we journey together, we ask you to pray for us as we pray for you.
Sincerely,
Karen Yasik
